Studio Ghibli Marathon

A pretty bad ass set of movies. There is currently I think 19 movies in all, and I do believe I have watched a good chunk of them. Here is a list of what movies I have watched and how I felt about each one.

Spirited Away (Obvious One): I really liked this one even though it is to be said that it was the worst movie made by Miyasaki :P

Tales from EarthSea : I liked the beginning of the movie and the development to the half but right after that it was a mega disappointment.

The Cat Returns: It was a cute movie to watch, but found it exceedingly pointless and had its few plotholes.

Whisper of the Heart: Though my girlfriend loves this movie I just found it pretty boring. Possibly due to the fact that it was sortof slow paced.

Porco Rosso: It was a quirky fun movie that was weird, but hard not to watch.

Howl’s Moving Castle: Loved this movie :D

My Neighbour Totoro: It was interesting and all. But ending left me feeling like “What was the reason I watched this movie?”

Kiki’s Delivery Service: I liked it for the first half but after it lost all its incentive in the end and didnt lead up to much.

Nausica of the Valley in the Wind: A war movie that speaks about nature. An alright watch.

Princess Mononoke: Another nature/ war-like movie. But I found it a bit more interesting then the other.

Ponyo: Ummm, I watched it but it was in japanese no subs soooo… umm it looked pretty :P

Castle in the Sky: Heard to be one the best movies made by Miyasaki, in which it was a good movie, but I dont know if it is the best movie though.

Gravity Chicken

A vey interesting short story idea that was told to me by my brother. It seems my brother asked his friend what he was planning to do for the short story assignment and that he immediately blurted out Gravity Chicken. Now get this, it is a chicken….that has gravity powers!!!! gasp. Well, I would consider it a gasp cause I never really come across a quite ummm unique idea. Usually ideas that I would ever hear would either be some overdone teen romance crap or extreme apocalyptic….and you people know who you are. While as for this, it is just some chicken that has the power to control gravity in order to fuck with people and what not. Thats a pretty damn simple concept right there, but very appreciated. Though from what I am told, the ending might be pretty shitty so I would probably say good idea, but poor delivery like as all good ideas go. (grumbles about “I Am Number Four”….piece of poop) To sum it all up, idea is pretty bad ass and funny, but probably wont be told that well.

If the world was gonna end and I had a choice of how I wanted to go out, my most preferred death would be ” Death by God’s Fist”.

Think about it…to be killed by a giant fist coming down from the heavens…that would be fricken EPIC XD
